Want to learn cutting edge skills in music technology recording- sequencing and live sound? Our Level 3 90 Credit / Extended Diploma in Music Technology is taught by highly experienced tutors- who will teach you in industry standard recording studios- computer suites and at the superb Slade Rooms live venue in the city centre. You will begin your first year of study on the Level 3 90 Credit Diploma and then once successfully completed you will progress to your second year on the Level 3 Extended Diploma- which is equivalent to three A Levels. The course specifically features skills in sequencing using software packages to compose- edit and mix music and soundtracks- the music industry- researching and exploring areas of the industry such as record labels- recording studios- live performances and the jobs associated with these- sound recording and learning how to set up and operate equipment in the college's newly refurbished professional standard recording studios for the capture and processing of sound. Grading is through regular assessment of coursework and practical work- as well as portfolio building. You will train in our dedicated recording and music computer suite facilities which include three dedicated recording studios- two performance rooms- a mastering suite and a dedicated computer suite. All tutors are active within the industry and have a wealth of knowledge and experience to call upon enabling you the best opportunity to progress in your chosen career.
