This course consists of the following: Life Skills: such as how to take an item back to a shop, how to budget money or how to be a good parent Employment Skills: such as researching what jobs there locally, how to apply for jobs and how to be effective in the workplace Functional English, Maths and ICT: such as how to write a letter, fill in a form, use a 24 hour timetable, design a PowerPoint presentation Students will also get the chance to try out different vocational areas such as: Motor Vehicle, Construction, Catering, Childcare, Creative Media, Public Services, Art and Design, Drama and Retail Learners will benefit from: A Personal Tutor to help learners plan and succeed in college A Teaching Assistant to give support in class when needed Small class sizes so that everyone can get the attention they need Support from other learners who have also experienced problems and barriers in education
