Ascentis Level 1 Diploma in Preparation for Employment in the Construction Industry

This course will provide you with a basic introduction to the occupational areas within the construction industry including four of the following trades; Bricklaying, Plastering, Tiling, Carpentry and Joinery, Plumbing and Electrical Installation. The course will provide an insight into the industry, organisations and job roles. You will be required to complete a range of practical projects and develop your skills and knowledge through studying a range of units including Health & Safety & Carrying Out Operations. You will have the opportunity to practise the skills you learn. Approximately 80% of the course is based in workshops and 20% is theory. The course is designed to provide you with the skills to progress onto a Level 1 Diploma in Bricklaying, Plastering, Carpentry and Joinery, Plumbing or Electrical Installation.
