Employment Law in England has seen some major changes in the last few years. This course looks at the legislation which is relevant to managers and will provide them with a grounding to help them manage competently. Time will be given to looking at company procedures, e.g., Absence, Discipline and Grievance and how these can be used fairly and consistently. You will also look at some case studies to consider how you would handle some common workplace situations. The course programme will include: Bribery Bullying and harassment Contracts of employment Discipline & grievance Discrimination Dismissal Flexible working Human rights Managing absence Maternity and paternity leave Parental leave Redundancy Retirement Time off for dependents Whistle blowing Working Time Directive
