Life Drawing (Spring Term)

UPDATED 20150518 10:35:32

This course is aimed at 16+ yr old students who wish to extend practice in drawing via a concentrated programme of graded exercises of drawing from the figure. It is available for any skills level, from novices to practicing artists, who want a supportive and stimulating environment in which to learn about the perceptions and mark-making capabilities required for making successful drawn responses from the nude figure. About The Course The programme is led by a Drawing Master with many years experience working with artists from introductory to Masters Degree levels. Students will experience different approaches to making informed drawings within a critical framework. Drawing is as much about the thinking as the doing, and participants will learn to evaluate aspects of drawing by understanding what and how they see as well as what and how they construct and edit marks on paper which represent the figure.
