Name: Hairdressing Level 1 Diploma Qualification title: Diploma in Hairdressing (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment The Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA) set the standards of Hairdressing NVQ- s. Assessment is continuous throughout the course. When you feel confident that you have mastered a skill, your assessor will observe your work in the training salon. When you both agree that your standard is commercial and competent, then the observation record is signed and transferred to your evidence portfolio. Evidence for your portfolio is collected throughout the course in the form of assignments, projects and case studies, you can photograph work that you perform outside of college or get a witness testimony from your work placement, written tests and oral questions are also included.
