This is one of the most valuable qualifications someone pursuing a career in the creative industries can study as it allows you to build a professional portfolio to enable you to progress to university or in to employment. The majority of Art and Design degree courses require this qualification in addition to A Levels as it guarentees students make a more accurate choice of specialism in art and offers them more mature and creative students. It is a dianostic course designed to help students experience a wide range of Art & Design disciplines and then go on to develop a strong portfolio in their chosen field. Once you have sampled the variety of art disciplines you can make an informed choice as to your specialisation and will then be guided through the UCAS system to progress to the right degree and course for you.
