This programme builds upon the past operational knowledge and experience of managers by focussing on the more strategic issues of management within an organisation. The programme is intended for the middle to senior manager who has the authority and personal inspiration to translate organisational strategy into effective operational performance. It is equally valuable for the person who aspires to such a role, by helping them to gain the knowledge and understanding necessary to deliver those outcomes The course includes eight taught modules with the addition of an individual management report. Assessment can include written reports and group work as well as individual and group presentations. You will learn about: Strategic performance management Financial management Personal development as a strategic manager Strategic information management Organisational direction Organisational Change Strategic planning Human resource planning Conducting a strategic management report The course is designed to be completed within one academic year (September June) with monthly workshops (Wednesdays 2pm 9pm). There is however, some flexibility built in to accommodate unexpected issues. The workshops are supported by the College on-line interactive site and tutorials. Once enrolled, you will also have the benefit of student membership of the Chartered Management Institute. CMI Inspection July 2011 identified: the excellent standard of level 7 diplomas produced by the students.
