Our HNC in Operations Engineering offers a solid grounding in the principles of the trade, helping you to acquire the skills and knowledge you need to get your foot on the career ladder. We offer a vocational programme of study with a strong emphasis on practical skills and modern industrial processes. You will attend College for one day a week over an eighteen-month period. In your first year, this will be on a Tuesday from 8.45am 5.30pm. In your second year, this will be on a Monday, from 8.45am 5.00pm. What will I be doing? In your first year, you will learn the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to understand second year modules. Your second year will then develop your depth of understanding with higher thinking and cognitive skills. You will study the following modules: Analytical Methods L3 Analytical Methods L4 Engineering Science Electronic Principles Programmable Logic Controllers Instrumentation and Control Principles Plant and Process Principles Project Design, Implementation and Evaluation Plant Maintenance and Decommissioning Business Management Techniques
