What is social responsibility? How can the media affect my self-image? What is the difference between growth and development? These are just some of the questions that you will encounter during your Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3. Our course will take your learning to an advanced level and help you gain a new perspective on a range of health and social care issues. If you are keen to develop a career in this area and are thinking of going to university, then this is the course for you! What will I be doing? Our course will help you explore a range of exciting health and social care issues through classroom study, group discussion and project work. You will also complete a work placement for at least one day a week and complete a number of one-week placements. You will study a Subsidiary Diploma in your first year, which consists of six units. If you successfully complete the Subsidiary Diploma, at merit grade of above you will progress to your second year, where you will complete your Extended Diploma. Throughout the course, you will study a range of topics that will include effective communication, anatomy and physiology, lifespan development, health, safety and security, equality, diversity and human rights.
