Contemporary textile: jewellery making

You will explore a range of techniques including felt making, creating your own decorative papers, layering, binding, wrapping, applique & stitch. You will create your own beads & embellished surfaces. From these you will be supported to design & create your own jewellery items. Your tutor will demonstrate all techniques & have a range of samples to show the different effects you can achieve. You will be supported to develop your ideas & explore techniques & to create a final piece of work or a series of developed pieces.

Entry requirements

All materials for initial experiments will be supplied by the tutor, you will need �6 to cover the costs of materials. You will need to provide some of your own materials for your final designs. Will I need to do anything in my own time? You may wish to continue to explore ideas & techniques at home, but this is not a requirement.
