Learn to sew: make a cushion: workshop

We will be making a cushion cover using fabric of your choice, piped or plain. You can choose to have a button or tie closure. All the techniques are simple and there will be examples of different cushion covers to help you choose.

Entry requirements

Yes, you will need to have your own materials and equipment. We have Janome sewing machines available for you to use during this workshop. You will need to bring some fabric; � metre will be sufficient for a 40cm cushion cover, some matching thread, 1-3 large buttons / self cover buttons or contrasting fabric/ ribbon for ties. If you would like a piped edge on you cushion, please bring 2 metres of medium weight piping cord and 2m of coordinating bias binding. You can make your own bias binding if you wish to use a patterned fabric � we will cover this in class. Please wear suitable clothing and bring a notebook and pencil/pen.
