This course is for anyone who has an interest in developing a wide range of practical Horticultural skills and knowledge that will enable them to carry out tasks with confidence. You will have opportunities to observe, learn and put into practice a number of skills including: Propagation, seed sowing and cuttings, division, soil testing, ground preparation, planting trees, shrubs, borders and a range of plants/crops. You will also develop skills in the care and maintenace of established plants, trees and shrubs throughout the seasons. You will also recognise common garden pests, weeds, diseases and disorders. All of this being carried out within sustainable systems.
