Ideal for: school leavers with a keen interest in agriculture and wishing to develop good practical skills with a range of farm animals, crops and machinery. You'll need: no formal qualifications, although GCSEs at grade E or above, including English and Maths is preferable. You'll learn: about safe working, farm animal husbandry, including their well-being and production for market, and crop husbandry and harvesting; whilst developing the personal skills and qualities you need to find and keep the job you want. Expect: to gain employment skills such as using mathematics and English, managing money, getting and keeping a job, working relationships and attitudes, building your confidence and developing your selfmanagement skills. You'll love: using agricultural equipment including tractors. You'll go onto: continue your studies at level 2 such as our Agriculture City & Guilds Diploma, or progression to an agriculture apprenticeship.
