Food Manufacturing Apprenticeship

A food manufacturing apprenticeship is the ideal way to earn money whilst gaining a nationally recognised qualification. The provision is open to anyone aged 16+ years provided that you meet current eligibility. You must be fully employed in your chosen career path and hold a genuine interest in your area of work, demonstrating enthusiasm and a strong determination to succeed. Ideal if: you are already or would like to be employed in the food and drink industry. You ll need: two GCSEs at grade D or above, although relevant prior experience will be considered. You ll learn: the principles of working in food manufacture, safe preparation, food processing, how to monitor and maintain product quality and food hygiene. Expect: a wide range of work-based activities to help you understand the systems essential for good practice, safe preparation and processing in line with the quality standards demanded by industry and today s customers. You'll also work towards a level 2 functional skills qualification in English and mathematics. You ll love: earning money while gaining a nationally recognised qualification. You ll go onto: improve your promotion prospects or progression to the Food and Drink Manufacturing advanced apprenticeship.
