HSE First Aid at Work

This is to become a qualified First Aider in the workplace. The certificate issued by Easton and Otley College is recognised by Qualsafe an approved provider of First Aid training and is valid for 3 years. Refresher courses are required every 3 years after certification to keep the qualification valid. Course Content Includes * Life saving techniques. * Practical exercises covering : * Assessment of an incident * Cardiac arrest * Respiratory arrest * Obstructed airway and choking * Unconscious casualty- recovery position & spinal injury recovery position * Conscious casualty * Reporting incidents * RIDDOR * Circulatory system * Shock * Control of bleeding * Correct content of first aid kit * Head injuries * Strokes * Faints * Asthma * Epilepsy * Diabetes * Angina * Heart attacks * Fractures * Dislocations * Sprains and strains * Burns and scalds * Poisons * Hypothermia * Heat exhaustion * Heat Stroke * Bites and stings * Anaphylactic shock * Eye injuries * Arc eye There is an exam at the end of the course, and 100% attendance is required. NO exceptions can be made.
