Health and Safety in the Workplace This one day, six hour, course is designed to provide learners with an understanding of the common Health ; Safety Hazards and control measures in the work place. It will also give understanding of the relevant Health and Safety Legislation in the workplace as well as allowing learners to understand the risk assessment process which is essential to operating a safe workplace. On completion of this course you will understand and have knowledge of: Individual roles and responsibilities for health, safety and welfare in the workplace How risk assessment contributes to health and safety How to identify and control risks from common workplace hazards The procedures for responding to accidents and incidents in the workplace The benefits to a business of having good Health and Safety standards Common causes of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in the workplace Common control measures to prevent manual handling injuries The course is suitable for all levels of learners and appropriate needs can be taken into consideration for all learners.
