This course will provide a practical introduction to Makaton. It is a useful course particularly for those who need to use Makaton either at home or in a workplace situation. It is made up of 4 modules that will be delivered in a flexible and friendly manner. You will be given two Workshop Manuasl detailing the information learned and the Certificate of Attendance you will receive can help you to access further Makaton training. Makaton is a language programme using speech signs and symbols and is used with children and adults who have communication difficulties which may include people with special educational needs and speech and language delays as well as those for whom English is a second language.
