This one year programme is designed as an introduction for those who want to gain a qualification that will enable them to pursue a career in many areas of sport or into higher level qualifications. The BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Sport is composed of the following units: Fitness Testing and Training; Practical Sport; Development of Personal Fitness; Anatomy and Physiology for Sport; Effects of Exercise on the Body Systems; Injury in Sport; Planning and Leading Sports Activities; Exercise and Fitness Instruction.You will also have the opportunity to complete additional qualifications, such as 1st4Sport Certificate in Coaching (Football) and the SLUK Sports Leadership Award. You will also have the opportunity to study and gain a Functional Skills qualification in either Maths, English or ICT at the appropriate level.
