BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Performing Arts

The BTEC Subsidiary and National Diploma programmes are designed to develop your performance techniques/skills and to give you performance experience. The courses are aimed at students wishing to prepare themselves for both work in the Performing Arts sector and for Degree/HND level studies. Room2 Performance Company Room2 perform is the umbrella company for all performance and production work within Media, Music and Performing Arts. Based at the Hinckley Campus venue, with other performances off site throughout the year, Room2 perform presents three seasons of work over the course of the year. By enrolling on the course, you automatically become part of the company and will be expected to fulfil the role of company member to the best of your ability. It will be through all of the work with Room2 that assessment will take place. You are expected to take a professional attitude to your work with Room2 at all times. You will also have the opportunity to study and gain a Functional Skills qualification in either Maths, English or ICT at the appropriate level.
