This programme is designed for young people seeking to enter into a career within the Motor Vehicle Industry. The programme will provide you with the knowledge and practical skills required for a career in motor vehicle maintenance. You will study four main motor areas designated by the National Occupational Standards Developed by Automotive Skills, as well as the following 5 units: Chassis Technology; Engine Technology; Transmission Technology; Electrical and Electronic Technology; General Aspects (Health and Safety, Legal aspects). You will also have the opportunity to study and gain a Functional Skills qualification in either Maths, English or ICT at the appropriate level.
