The 60 Credit Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma offers an engaging programme for those who are clear about the area of employment that they wish to enter. It is broadly equivalent to one GCE A Level. Learners may wish to extend their programme through the study of a general qualification such as GCE A Level, through another BTEC qualification or an NVQ. The programme consists of three mandatory units - 180 guided learning hours (30 credits) plus optional units that provide a combined total of 360 guided learning hours or 60 credits. Mandatory units: Effective Communication; Equality, Diversity and Rights; Health, Safety and Security, plus a number of other optional units that amount to 30 credits. You will also be required to complete a mandatory minimum of 50 hours of work experience in two different care settings.
