This new programme focuses specifically on music technology and production. It has been designed to cover Skills gaps identified in the market. The course is aimed at learners who do not wish to play an instrument or take the performance route but are keen to have a career in the more technical side of the music industry. Therefore you do not necessarily need instrumental knowledge to be successful on this programme. Modules covered: Acoustics for musicians; Delivering a music Product; Listening Skills for Music Technicians; Music Production Techniques; Music Theory and Harmony; Sequencing systems and techniques; Functional Music Keyboard; Audio Engineering principles; Music and sound for the moving image; Planning and delivering a music product; Sound creation and manipulation; Stage Lighting Operation; Composing music; Music events management; The sound and music industry; Marketing and Promotion in the music industry; Live Sound techniques. You will also have the opportunity to study and gain a Functional Skills qualification in either Maths, English or ICT at the appropriate level.
