Improve your Digital Photography

Learn how to use your digital camera to explore, observe and record the visual world around you! The course covers the basics of using a digital camera, managing images (uploading and storage), simple image manipulation, and presentation (with free online/ web-based image galleries). This course is open to everyone and anyone interested in the possibilities that photography offers, and those who are keento increase their skills, knowledge, understanding, awareness and appreciation of the subject. These workshops can either be attended as a stand alone workshop, or students can enrol onto more than one workshop to createa short course where students can build up a project or portfolio. The series of workshops enrolled on as a complete set will further enrich and deepen their ability. To enable students to develop individual, personal photographic projects that allow them to use the medium to better understand and appreciate the world they live in. See the world through fresh eyes! Through discussion, advice and guidance, both whole class and individual, students are helped in developing their own photography project which they will complete during one or a series of workshops. Students will be introduced to the work of other photographers from around the world, both past and present, to enrich their broader understanding and awareness and to inform their own photographic investigation. Students will be able to document their work as it progresses if they wish to, by creating a portlolio along the way that could be used to access further courses and / or employment.
