Vocational Qualifications reflect the practical skills needed in the workplace. The Hospitality qualification is for either Apprentices starting their career or indeed for those who wish to develop their career further within the industry. 1 in every 14 people are employed within this sector. A recent survey showed that the hospitality industry is currently facing a major skills shortage and experiencing 31% staff turnover. To address this issue more organisations are taking on apprentices and offering their existing staff hospitality qualifications as a way of boosting overall productivity. Hospitality is offered at Levels 2 and 3 and made up of numerous pathways consisting of mandatory and optional units.
Name: Introduction to Employment in the Hospitality Industry Level 2 Qualification title: Award in Introduction to Employment in the Hospitality Industry (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment A fully qualified Learning and Development Consultant (LDC) will visit you at work once or twice a month. During these visits your LDC will work through the units you have chosen using various methods such as assessments, training, professional discussions, photo evidence, ENVQ, witness statements, reflective journals and under pinning knowledge sessions.
