The aim of the course is to: Give you more skills to enable you to use Word to create a variety of different documents. Give you more skills to enable youto use the Internet safely for a variety of purposes. On completion, you should be able to: Open Word, enter and format text. Use additional Word features: borders, images, lists, tables, Word Art, for example. Create specific documents: letters, greeting cards and posters, for example. Save to appropriate folders and print work. Open a web browser - Internet Explorer for example - find out how to use the Internet safely when shopping, trading and banking, use the Internet for own interests. The following topics will be covered during the course: Learning more advanced Word processing terms. Creating different documents. Using spell check, proof-reading and correcting own errors. Aligning text and images on the screen. Importing and manipulating images. Using bullets and numbering. Creating simple tables. Creating simple greetings cards. Internet safety. Online shopping, banking, trading and social media.

There will be a presentation that will also be given as a hand out and a workbook to use.
