The aim of this course is to introduce you to the practice of meditation as an aid to improve your wellbeing. On completion, you should be able to: understand the basics of meditation practice and theory practice different meditative techniques and discover which work best for you demonstrate the benefits of the techniques to your general wellbeing demonstrate a knowledge of different traditions and cultures that use meditation. The following topics will be covered during the course: Exploration of techniques to relax body and mind using basic meditation exercises The effects of meditation techniques on the body and mind The development of a range of techniques that can be used at home Problem solving The different traditions and cultures that use meditation.
