The aim of the course is to give you the confidence and skills to experiment with a diverse range of tools and processes. On completion, you should be able to: Understand and apply the rules of composition; Be expressive and creative with colour; Use oil sticks to make rich, flowing, tactile images; Work collaboratively. The following topics will be covered during the course: The rules of composition and colour. Working on a variety of scales. An introduction to oil sticks: characteristics; colour palette; techniques; compatibility; drying times. Collaborative art work: history; examples; processes.
