The aim of the course is to: Give the learners the basic skills to enable them to use Excel to produce simple spreadsheets and charts. Give the learners the basic skills to enable them to use the Internet safely for a variety of purposes and to send emails. On completion, you should be able to: Open Excel, enter data and calculate using formulae. Use spreadsheet to display data using charts. Save to own folder and print work. Open a web browser - Internet Explorer for example - find specific websites, use Google to search, send and reply to emails, use attachments. The following topics will be covered during the course: Learning basic Excel terms. Creating spreadsheets to add, takeaway, multiply and divide. Using AutoSum. Learning how to replicate formulae. Creating simple bar, line and pie charts. Opening and replying to emails, sending new emails, using attachments Learning basic Internet terms. How to navigate on the Internet. Finding specific websites. Successful searching. Saving and printing from the Internet.
