Extended Diploma in Information Technology: equivalent to three A levels The Extended Diploma is a two year course. The first year is equivalent to 1.5 A level (90 Credit). Successful completion of the first year will allow progression to year 2 to complete a total of 3 A level equivalents graded from Pass to Distinction*. This course prepares you for employment or entry to higher education (depending on previous experience and final grade). Students learn by completing assignments and projects, many of which will be based around actual companies, with realistic situations and demands.

For each unit of study you will be allocated a grade (Pass, Merit or Distinction). Your final 'A Level grades for the Nationals will be calculated from the total points from each unit.
