The course is split into two parts; Level 2 modules and Level 3 modules. Level 2 modules are;Maths : this module is aimed at the mathematics needed by the health scientist/health professional and forms a basis for further study. It is taught to level 2 and is designed to equip students with the necessary skills required for higher education and beyond.The Level 3 modules are;Professional Skills in Health Care.Contemporary Issues in Health Care.Applied Human Biology : a thorough grounding in the science of human biology. Students will study a broad range of topics including human anatomy and physiology and cell biology. Immunopathology is the study of micro:organisms and how they cause disease and how the human body responds to such infections. Students will also gain practical skills in microbiological techniques including Aseptic techniques and bacterial culture. Psychology and Sociology of Health is a study of the effects of psychology and sociology on peoples approach to their health and their response to pain and illnessEnglish : written and verbal communication skills
