Apprenticeships are practical hands on programmes designed to provide you with relevant, practical training, which will enable you to progress within your chosen industry. As an apprentice you will be paid a minimum of 2.68 an hour if you are under 19 or over 19 and still in the first year of your apprenticeship programme. You will be employed between 30 and 40 hours a week. This Level 2 Apprenticeship is designed to develop the skills and knowledge you will need for industry employment in your chosen craft. The course has been specifically developed for delivery in a training environment, and the tests are based on demonstrations of what you can do as an individual through the completion of the qualifications requirements. You will study a range of topics during the course, gaining practical experience and theoretical knowledge of carpentry and joinery, bricklaying, plastering, erecting working platforms, plumbing, roof lead work, painting and decorating, and health and safety with a focus on maintenance.
