Qualifications include: Level 3 Diploma in Business Level 1 and / or Level 2 in Football / Futsal Coaching You will study the business environment, business resources, marketing, business communication, exercise physiology, principles of health, fitness and exercise, anatomy and physiology and health and safety. Additionally you will be looking at managing and adapting a personal training programme, all related around football / FUTSAL. This programme is ideally suited for those with a genuine interest in business, football and FUTSAL, but who also have the ability and determination to succeed. We ask that applicants are ideally actively involved with a sports team or health and fitness club as this will enhance their research. There is an expectation for all sport and business students to take part in college enrichment activities, before lessons and on Wednesday afternoons, throughout the year. This programme will provide you with an opportunity to gain an insight into the wide and diverse nature of this growing sector. The programme retains a strong academic base, whilst including practical units and modules. You will need to be confident, self- motivated and a good communicator as this will stand you in good stead for your research work as well as your work placement. Projects and assignments will be based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. You will learn about the employment area you have chosen and develop the skills you need to start a career, as well as grow your understanding of the sports and fitness industry, learning important practical and organisational skills to support your progression in business. Name: Level 3 Business, Football and FUTSAL Coaching Qualification title: BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Business (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment Throughout the year assessment for both the practical and theory Business units is undertaken using a variety of assessment methods and styles. Each assignment will be graded at Pass, Merit or Distinction level and contributes to the unit and overall programme grades. Each of the units will have three to five assignments. These assignments may be reports, presentations, practical assessments or research projects. Attendance in the College is an average of 16 hours per week of contact time. In addition to this, it is expected for students to complete a further 8-12 hours of independent study both in college and at home. This programme can only be studied as a Subsidiary Diploma.
