Entry Level Certificate in Professional Catering

The programme involves practical work in our kitchens and restaurant. Theory will take place in a classroom environment. You will work in groups for practical, but you may be required to complete some assessed coursework individually or working in pairs. You will be taught by a variety of chef and restaurant lecturers who have a wide range of experience of the hospitality and catering industry. They will encourage you with your studies and teach you how to become truly professional in your chosen field. They will also help you to develop key employment skills such as problem solving, communication and time management. City and Guilds Entry 3 Certificate in introduction to the hospitality industr(7107 - 03) Food Safety Award Functional Skills All students without an A*-C grade in English or Maths will be required, as a condition of the programme, to undertake either a GCSE or Functional Skills programme. There is the opportunity for students who have successfully completed this programme to progress onto Level 1 Introduction to Professional Catering. Students can also gain full-time employment in hotels, restaurants, industrial catering, hospitality and the armed forces.
