This course is suitable for people interested in improving their understanding of equality and diversity issues, particularly those working within the health, social care or childcare sectors The course is delivered by distance learning using extensive support materials and contact with a named support tutor/assessor. The three units of the programme involve a total of 90 hours study over a 3-6 month period. This is a Vocationally Recognised Qualification (VRQ), giving underpinning knowledge related to the candidates working environment. The course is taught using a portfolio of resource materials and assignments with 9 hours of contact from a named tutor/assessor in the candidates workplace. The skills and knowledge taught will enable candidates to gain a greater awareness of equality and diversity in the workplace and society. NVQ Level 2/3 Health and Social Care or CCLD (depending on job role).
