Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Management

Candidates in the workplace wishing to prove competency in their current job role. NVQ Level 3 in Management requires the candidate to show their competence by applying their knowledge and skills, whilst carrying out a broad range of varied work activities, most of which are complex and non-routine. As a level 3 candidate, they are expected to be working as Supervisor, Team Leader or First Line Manager. Candidates require a flexible approach to achieving qualifications, and should have the ability to use computer applications such as Microsoft Word. If the potential candidate cannot show competency in the areas identified above, they should be directed onto a taught management qualification such as Level 3 Certificate in Management. Work based evidence will be required in the form of witness statements, personal statements, work products. Observation and questioning will also be used to assess your competence in your job. Evidence is assessed against the national standards by a qualified assessor who will be allocated to you. There are 3 mandatory units within the qualification (credit value 14), and are areas of knowledge, behaviours and understanding a candidate should have before starting on the course. Learners must also choose optional units with a combined minimum total of 11 credits. -Manage own professional development within an organisation -Set objectives and provide support for team members -Plan, allocate and monitor work of a team Upon successful completion of the course, students can progress to Edexcel BTEC Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Management (QCF) and the Edexcel BTEC Level 5 Award, Certificate or Diploma in Management & Leadership.
