This qualification is designed to give you a solid introduction to working in the sport and active leisure industry. You'll gain greater awareness of the industry and what you can do to succeed in employment, as well as an understanding of roles, responsibilities and how employment law affects you and others. You don't need any prior qualifications to take the Award in Employment Awareness in Active Leisure and Learning. Level 2 is ideal if you work or want to work in the sport and leisure industry. You'd like a solid introduction to the legal and working requirements of the sector to increase your employability or to fulfil part of the Advanced Apprenticeship in Active Leisure and Learning. The Level 2 Award in Employment Awareness in Active Leisure and Learning aims to give learners basic awareness of the active leisure industry, in terms of understanding job roles and employment law, including how it affects them as an individual and in relation to the wider profession. This can form part of the Intermediate and Advanced Apprenticeships in Active Leisure and Learning. Achieving these qualifications gives you background knowledge that can be valuable in a number of roles, including: Playworker / Health and fitness instructor / Holiday centre worker - Manager / Horse riding centre manager / Leisure centre assistant - Manager / Sports coach. These qualifications form part of the Level 2 Apprenticeship and Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Active Leisure and Learning. The qualification covers: Understanding employment rights and responsibilities / Understanding the Active Leisure and Learning Sector / Understanding the employing organisation.
