Apprenticeship in Plumbing and Heating Level 2

As an Apprenticeship in Plumbing you will carrying out your training in the workplace, learning your vocational skills alongside your employer. You will also attend day release training at Boston College. Whilst studying for your qualification you will study- safe working practice, environmental protection, hot and cold water systems, central heating systems, rainwater systems and above ground drainage. Successful completion of the Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship will allow you to progress your training further and progress to a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship. As an apprentice you will receive on the job training at your workplace and also attend day release training at Boston College. You will study several elements which have been identified by employers as the skill required if you want to be a successful Plumber. You will study- A combined knowledge and skill based qualification - Diploma in Plumbing and Heating- Functional skills (Maths and English Level 2, Information and Communication Technology level1)- Employment Rights and Responsibilities. Plus there are a number of optional units that can be tailored to fit to your employer's needs. Whilst attending College you will study in both the classroom and workshop with lecturers who have worked in the Plumbing and Construction industry.
