Floristry Skills - Funeral Flowers and Wreaths

This course is suitable for those who would like to extend their level 2 skills and gain further insight into the floristry industry. It will give you the opportunity to learn skills particular to designing and producing arrangements for funeral flowers and wreaths. In addition the learner will keep a port-folio of work. You may decide to do this course purely for pleasure (level 2 qualification option requires 30 weeks). This course is ideal for anyone interested in going into the floristry industry or volunteering in a Floristry setting and has completed Level 1 or Level 2 in Floristry. This course (qualification optional) will help you to develop the skills and knowledge required to work in Floristry. You will engage in learning and develop the personal skills and attributes that are key for successful progress in working life. You will be able to participate in the making of practical designs. Your tutor will help you to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills in a taught class. Your tutor will also support you to put together your folder of evidence, assess your work and give you feedback. There are no examinations. Additional Support in literacy, Numeracy and ESOL is available for those learners who may benefit from this. You will put together a portfolio of all your work. Assessment is continuous throughout the course. Your tutor will mark your work to ensure that you meet all of the assessment criteria, and give you feedback on how well you are going. You will have an Individual Learning Plan, and discussions with your tutor to review your progress and to set targets for further progression. There is an option for accreditation at Level 2 on this course (requires 30 weeks), if you are in receipt of JSA or work related ESA.
