What will I do on this course? The course is made up of 18 topics which will introduce you to all areas of travel and tourism. You will also explore specific subjects in more depth, such as the cruise sector, long-haul travel destinations the European travel market, cruising, event management and dark tourism. As part of your course you will have the opportunity to go on visits within the UK and a residential abroad. A feature of this course is that it is practically based and many local tourism-related businesses contribute to the course through specialist input. Assignments are based on real case studies and businesses set employer-led challenges for our students. This course will develop your research, creative, problem-solving, team working and interpersonal skills. You will also gain additional qualifications alongside your main course to make you even more appealing to employers. You will obtain real-life industrial experience by working for an in-house travel agency as part of this programme. This experience will mean that you will finish the course head and shoulders above other job-seekers. In addition, you will gain valuable experience by working for our inhouse travel agency as part of this programme.
