What will I do on this course? This is a practical course, where you will work hands-on with large and small animals. You will study a number of topics which will give you up-to-date knowledge about the animal care industry. At Badgworth Equestrian and Animal Centre (EAC) you will work with small, large and exotic animals and will also be introduced to the care of horses. This provides an excellent foundation in the practical aspects of animal care and an insight into the theory behind the practice. During the course you will study areas including animal health, husbandry and care across a range of species of animals at the EAC. How will I be assessed? Observation of practical activities Group work Presentations Coursework. Where can this course take me? Next step courses: Animal Management, BTEC Extended Diploma Horse Management, BTEC Extended Diploma (subject to a riding assessment) Other level 3 courses.
