Our level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools is designed for those who work under the close supervision of a class teacher. Duties will vary depending on how the teacher plans their lessons and handles their day-to-day classroom activities, however they could include, supervising arts and crafts, assisting with outings, helping with IT activities and assisting reading and writing activities. This qualification can be taken as an Apprenticeship or NVQ only. An Apprenticeship will cover additional elements such as functional skills and employment rights and responsibilities

Your duties and responsibilities will also be discussed and you will be given full guidance and support to enable you to complete the qualification. Visits also provide an opportunity to feedback details of your progress to your employer. Your portfolio will be reviewed and assessed on an ongoing basis.
