ECDL is an internationally recognised qualification. This level 1 course is designed to give an initial overview of computer use for the learner who wishes to gain an ICT qualification. By improving your skills you will be able to work more efficiently in your job at home or with IT in general. It follows a structured syllabus working through a range of specific knowledge areas and skills. By the end of the course students will be able to: ? Demonstrate knowledge of basic interaction with computers from start-up to productive use and basic computer housekeeping. (Computer essentials/IT User fundamentals) ? Interact with the internet and email in a safe and secure way explain key terms and demonstrate knowledge of computer security. (Online essentials/Using email and the internet) ?
