The qualification introduces students to the role of a bookkeeper how to understand financial documentation and learn single-entry bookkeeping. It will also cover the principles of cash and credit transactions and familiarise students with the use of spread sheets in finance. At the end of the course students will have an understanding of the basic role of bookkeeping within different types of organisations know and understand the basic terminology used in bookkeeping. It will also provide the student with knowledge of the general principles of single entry bookkeeping VAT cash and credit transactions different systems and processing information and in general the roles and responsibilities of individuals working in bookkeeping.
