If you are interested in a career in electrical installation or electronics, these courses will provide a good grounding for entry into these industries. You will gain skills and knowledge in a wide range of electrical and electronic engineering aspects ensuring that you are able to work both competently and safely. For the Level 2 course you will study at the College for approximately three days a week with about 60% of the course being theory and 40% practical. Both levels of course combine lectures, directed study, workshop activities and simulated jobs in the College. The Level 2 course comprises the Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation (Buildings and Structures). This qualification has been designed to map into the Advanced Electrotechnical Apprenticeship qualification. Successful completion of this course would allow a quicker completion of the Electrotechnical Apprenticeship framework.
