Course information

Name: Reflexology: Level 3 Certificate - ITEC Qualification title: Certificate in Reflexology (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment By lecture, discussion, one to one tuition and demonstration. Students will be expected to give and receive treatments, first working in pairs, then on invited 'clients'. On 40 of the case studies, learners will be expected to self-evaluate their performance and professional handling of the case and identify any CPD necessary to make the treatment more effective. There are 100 treatments to record in all- students should be able to provide 10 clients for use as case studies- from friends-family or exsisting clients if already practicing a Complementary therapy. Many pathologies will be discussed in class, however learners will be able to chose any disease or disorder for personal study. Entry requirements

Pen, pencil, note book. Lever arch file. Plastic A4 pockets if desired. Two bath towels and two small hand towels. (use towels you have at home for first few sessions) A set of new towels will be needed after we discuss colour and thickness. Other equipment needed such as uniform, shoes, supports, treatment couch or chair and other sundries will be discussed during interview. Some comprehensive handouts will be given. The study book for the course- 'An Introduction to Reflexology' by Louise Tucker available from 'Amazon' or from any well known book shop ie- Waterstones.
