This programme provides a balance of both theoretical and practical activities complemented with computer-based exercises using the latest industry standard software packages. The qualification provides career development opportunities for work in a number of different engineering industries carrying out a variety of roles. As qualified technician's, students have progressed to fulfill such roles as a Design Engineer as well as maintenance and servicing work on a variety of electrical and electronic equipment. The qualification allows progression to higher education on HNC/HND and Degree level programmes.
