This qualification involves students studying both theory and practical aspects of the following; carrying out routine vehicle maintenance, removing and replacing: engine units and components, electrical auxillary units and components, chassis units and components, motor vehicle practical, motor vehicle theory, functional skills. Students also gain a broad knowledge of health and safety and other skills associated with working in a garage.
