Toning and shaping exercises designed to tone and strengthen the core muscles of the back, abdominals and pelvic floor. Key to exercise course levels: Beginners: for those new to exercise or wanting a gentle workout. Improvers: for those wishing to progress from beginners. Intermediate: for more regular exercisers and those wishing to progress. All levels: a variety of exercises from beginner to advanced, to enable mixed ability learners to work within their own range of fitness. Exercises will be adapted to suit individual needs at all levels. - Health questionnaires must be completed when you join a class. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early for the first session to enable these to be completed and to discuss any issues with your tutor. - Bring a drink of water in a plastic bottle - Wear loose comfortable clothing with adequate personal support, e.g. T-shirt,shorts, leggings, sports bra etc. - Lace up trainers or other suitable footwear as indicated must be worn for all classes, except for Pilates and Yoga which can be performed in bare feet (please check for athletes foot or veruccas, and cover as necessary). - All classes will contain a warm up and cooldown sequence appropriate to the course content. Please arrive in plenty of time for the warm up or you may be refused entry on the grounds of health and safety. - Do not eat for at least two hours before exercising. All CALATs fitness tutors hold relevant and upto-date qualifications.
