This intensive course is targeted at those wishing to access higher education or nutrition fields. It covers a comprehensive range of nutrition specific knowledge, made up of individually assessed modules covering food culture, nutrition, diet and health, food production, human biology, biochemistry and study skills. Assessment is through written course work and exams. Successful students can apply for a range of degree courses in nutritional related areas and application to University is supported. Students must be 19 years of age or older. Students will need a good level of English minimum Level 2 and Level 2 Arithmetic and application of number. Both literacy and numeracy will be assessed at interview. Students must be willing to submit pieces of written assessment work over the year in order to achieve their credits.
